Get to know me more!

  • Creativity has been a common theme in my family, even before we moved to Sweden as refugees. My dad was an art professor at the University of Babylon and my mom a self-tought dress-maker designing wonderful wedding dresses for brides. At the age of 7, I moved to Sweden with my family. Unfortunately, they havent been able to continue in their creative proffessions but provided me with the inspiration to bring creativity and design into my work. I have loved the combination of creativity and research since upper secondary school where i studied design and product development, and form there I knew where i wanted to end up :)

  • After studying design and product development in upper secondary school, I was smoothly led onward to Industrial design engineering at Chalmers University of Technology in the heart of Gothenburg. There i gained a creative and technical foundation combining design, engineering, and storytelling. I focused on turning ideas into meaningful experiences through prototyping, visual communication, and design that genuinely keeps human beings at the center.

  • The short answer is: Sustainability. The longer answer is: I want my work in the design field to have not only real impact but long term impact. A lot of wonderful development is being done within the area of sustainbility, but I believe that we need to focus more on changing world views and deep beliefs in order to start fixing the problem from the root rather than applying a band-aid after the cut has been made. Focusing on education, emotional engagement and relatability in my design work is a good start to achieve such an effect.

  • Creativity is probably the theme here too. I love to create art, consume it and be inspired by it. I read a lot, I play video games and mostly beautiful indie games, I love leathercraft and im currently setting up a my own digital leather goods store. I love perfume and all kinds of scent; the weirder the perfume the better!

I also work out regularly, meet friends to play board games and watch football, and yes I do love football quite a lot. (Visca el Barca!)

Do you have any feedback on my portfolio, are interested in working together, or would simply like to grab a coffee (I love coffee please lets grab a coffee)?
